It was a beautiful late December day, and at dusk the colors were fantastic - blue and pink mixed into the fog. It was also very cold, about -15 degrees Celsius. My hands were frostbitten after five minutes of shooting. However, it was worth it!
On a beautiful, sunny Saturday just before New Year's, I drove to the Dolenjska region, southeast of Ljubljana. The landscape mainly consists of rolling hills, which were covered in snow. I visited a castle, drove along desolate roads and climbed a hill with a church perched on the top. It was a glorious day indeed.
It was a couple of days after a major snowfall and the nature looked as if taken straight from a fairytale. I decided to visit a local arboretum and take a few photos. That cold day in December was also blessed with special light and a fantastic sunset.
December is a festive season and there are Christmas decorations everywhere. On Christmas day, I went to our capital, Ljubljana, and enjoyed the lights, festive spirit and some glühwein. :) A few days later, I took pictures of decorations in my hometown, Kamnik.
