In a mid October Sunday it snowed for the first time this fall. The foliage was still bright red and the mixture of color and snow combined with low-lying mists made for interesting photos. My friends and I roamed around Zelenci, Mangart Lakes and Kranjska Gora.
A quick climb to Mt. Prisojnik via Kopiščar trail (Kopiščarjeva pot), which is probably the most technical and demanding marked climbing trail in Slovenia. It was exhilarating! And mountains in the fall are just so sweet.
Seven members of our photo club from Kamnik decided to spend a couple of days in the Julian Alps. We slept on Planina Viševnik and hiked to the top of Mt. Mala Tičarica with gorgeous views over the surrounding mountains and valleys. Larches weren't as golden yet as we had hoped, but the trip was a blast anyway.
