Spending the whole night at the altitude of 1500 meters can be a cold business even in late July, but it's all worth it after getting photos like these ones.

One night in late July was especially stormy and there were so many lightning bolts all around me I simply had to set up a tripod at a window and start taking photos for about an hour or so. This is what I came up with.
